Wedged between Teesdale and Weardale, Hamsterley Forest offers woodland of outstanding natural beauty.
At the end of the walk, treat yourself to a well-earned rest and a slice of delicious homemade cake in the tearoom. There is also a play park available for the children if they still have the energy! Once you have registered for the walk, you will be sent an information pack.
On the day, after parking come to the registration point which is next to the start point at the car park. Once everyone is registered we will then begin the sponsored walk. Walkers can take it at their own pace. On completing the walk, you will receive a certificate. We hope that you'll collect sponsorship from family, friends or colleagues to help Macmillan improve the lives of people affected by cancer in our local community. And don’t forget, if you raise over £100 you get a Macmillan T Shirt free. Minimum sponsorship £25. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Any participant who has any concern about his or her physical condition is advised to consult their doctor before taking part in the event.
