If you believe your award of housing benefit is incorrect you can ask us to review our decision. You must make a written request for a review within one month of the date of the housing benefit decision notice. If you disagree with the initial review of your housing benefit award you have the right to appeal to an independent appeals tribunal.
The written request for the review must have any relevant supporting documentation.
What we must do
If you ask for a review we will carry out a review of the original housing benefit decision and issue a written notification outlining our review.
