With effect from 1 September 2008, the responsibility for providing information, advice and guidance for those students who will be commencing a new course of study in September 2009 will transfer from the Local Authority Student Finance Teams, to the Student Loans Company. They will be responsible for the administration of Higher Education Student Finance for new students from September 2009 onwards.
Therefore, those students who will be commencing a new course of study in September 2009 onwards should apply direct to Student Finance England. Visit: www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance for more information.
